At the time, Ausgrid had not undertaken a venture of this size with any other private developer. The team from Madison Marcus delivered a transaction structure which was beneficial for all stakeholders involved in that the contestable works.
The removal of the towers had the effect of unlocking residential and commercial development opportunities in the suburb of Carlingford. This transaction was market-leading, effectively opening up Ausgrid to opportunities similar to this in other areas, further unlocking much needed urban growth.
