The HSA is an exciting new association that aims to work proactively and collaboratively with all levels of government and industry to solve housing supply and affordability issues.
With support from the government, today’s launch was attended by Anthony Roberts MP, NSW Minister for Planning and Minister for Housing and Carolyn McNally, NSW Secretary for Planning and Environment.
Attendees heard from the Minister for Planning, Mr Roberts as well as leading housing expert and Chief Economist for Domain Group, Dr Andrew Wilson. Mr Roberts spoke of his eagerness to work with the newly formed HSA to deliver affordable housing, first home buyer housing and key-worker housing.
The launch was attended by representatives from Madison Marcus Law Firm including Bechara Shamieh, Group Managing Director and Paul Jayne, Partner – Planning, Environment & Government who are both members of the HSA board.
Madison Marcus has been instrumental in the formation of the HSA. Bechara and Paul advise stakeholders in the property industry at all levels including many of NSW’s largest developers in respect of all facets affecting housing supply. Becahra brings a wealth of knowledge to the board through his commercial and property practice and Paul has extensive experience in all facets of the NSW planning law and local government. Both Bechara and Paul are thrilled to be part of this seminal event and this enthusiasm is shared by the other Partners of Madison Marcus.
Collaborating with the firm’s contacts within the property industry, Madison Marcus aims to assist the HSA in reaching its objectives and delivering real and timely housing for the rapidly growing population in Greater Sydney.
